Black Friday Deals already!

That's right. Black Friday ads are beginning to be leaked already!!
Take a look at the Sears 48 page ad and the Old Navy ad.

I am very excited about having enough time to peruse the ads and work out what deals are best.

In the past Black Friday was THE day to go shopping for deals. Last year I noticed that quite a few items were heavily discounted prior to Black Friday. Waiting until Black Friday may not be necessary!

If you are looking for some big ticket items or would like to stretch your dollar further, start looking at the Black Friday ads as they are posted and compare them to the current sales.

For those of you who have your kids on Black Friday check with the stores you are interested in shopping with what their price adjustment policy is. Two years ago I was able to buy all the kids toys at Toys R Us 2 days before Black Friday, I then returned on Black Friday at around 9am with 2 toddlers and got my price adjustment in under 5 mins.

Note that most stores will not do price adjustments on limited quantity items.

A lot of stores are also starting their ads on Thanksgiving or Black Friday online, prior to the stores opening. It is worthwhile checking out the store and item/s you are interested in to see if you can get that special item. If you live on the west coast you can start your online shopping very early and still have time to get to the physical stores for those in-store only specials.
